I am looking for new socks/stockings.
I need sturdy ones (for fencing and maybe heavy fighting later) that fit guys with larger calves.
I have a bunch of the "sock guy" pairs, in stripes and solids, but they're flimsy (I've torn several pairs just putting them on), and very tight.
I tried looking for soccer/baseball socks but all I've been able to find have logos on them, or are youth sizes (or are too small).
Historic Enterprises and Revival Clothing have stockings for women, but I don't know that they'd fit.
Period, modern - I don't particularly care. I just need better socks.
Late period dudes - what do you do?
Any suggestions?
