Hello,
I'm going to be doing a lot less drinking (alcohol) at War this year and most of the games around my camp involve booze. I'm looking to pick up a few decks of preferably medieval cards so us old-farts can sip on a beer and play No-Limit Ansteorraa-hold-em by candle and oil-light. I know Effingham can print me cards with my choice of heraldry on the back but I was looking for something more documentable.
Also, I'm hoping to find cheep period looking coinage. I'd gladly get some stamped 15th century coins for the higher denominations but at $1/chip I might as well be playing with Sacajawea golden coins. My budget won't stretch to hundreds of dollars in period gambling money this year.
Any advice is appreciated.

for inexpensive cards here you go http://www.historicgames.com/ I've a few decks from them and they are cheap enough that i dont have to worry about them getting abused or left out in the dew. For coinage I have to recomend Jehan and his company store for some fine replica coins.

If you need to be nickel and dimeing on coins go with dimes or I suppose you could try and find some foreign coin with extremely little value. Unless someone finds an effective way to cast a medieval coin or makes a machine to mass produce them reproduction coins will simply cost too much to be effective.
I did a set of late-15th century-esque playing cards from woodcuts that I have on my computer but I've never seen a heavy enough cotton card stock that I liked.
