Pics fixed Breastpalates, Elbows, and Knees Oh My!! + more

Post by Vasilii »

Ok, so unfortunately the company I was working for lost the contract for the facility I was working at, and they have nothing on this side of town for me to go to, so I am unemployed until the graduation (still looking, but the school/clinical schedule is making it tough). So, I must part with the beginnings of my armor horde, to try to help keep us flush until December, or until I can find more part time work that will jive with my school schedule.
First on the block is the start of my IVXth Century Mafia kit; a munitions grade churburg styled breastplate with brass accented rondel elbows and knees. I bought them from an archiver his mundane name is available on request via PM I don't remember his Archive handle  .
$220.00 U.S. + shipping

Next up is a pair of SS late period elbows made by Valerius back when rocks were soft  , I picked them up from Lloyd, when he was clearing out some closets a while ago:

Next up, is my WMA Lamellar the shirt comes to my waist (as pictured) I originally bought enough plates to take it to knee length, but I wound up starting a second shirt for a (smaller) buddy of mine (who has since stopped playing) I will sell these 1 of 3 ways
1) completed shirt approximately 300 plates $200.00 U.S. + shipping
2) Half incompleted shirt + extra plates (about 200 total plates) $140.00 U.S.+shipping
3) both shirts and extra plates (about 500 plates total) $300.00+ shipping
Included will be 12 (center plates given to me By Bran here on the archive, but not used yet)

Next on the block my Kassai magyar bow it is 49#'s at a 28"draw I have not been able to pull it since Damaging my shoulder last year. Kassai calls it the greyhound:
$260.00 U.S.+shipping

Lastly some generic articulated knees with elbow cops, spaulders, and a GAA fencing gorget that my wife bought several years ago when she thought about taking up heavy combat. She doesn't remember who she bought them from, she got them on e-bay. I have handled them they are solid enough. They have never been fought in:
All 3 pieces $120.00 U.S.+shipping
Knees only $50.00 U.S.+ shipping
elbows only $25.00 U.S.+shipping
spaulders only $50.00 U.S.+shipping
Gorget #40.00 U.S.+shipping

Nice stuff, in theory, some of which is in my purview, even... but as above, can't see the images at all.

I am interested int he 14th century stuff. What size is it? I am a large guy 6'3 350, but built more like 290 wondering if it has any chance of fitting me.
If so please send me pics!

I just double checked my settings and I have them set to "everyone". The links work when I click them. I wanted to post them here directly, but they are to big. I do not have a flicker account.

I have a surfeit of bows, but I've shot the model he's selling. It's a VERY forgiving bow, and given the cast, is heavy enough to bowhunt with.

Now I just gotta wheedle my wife's permission for 300 bucks worth of lamellar. :)

I'm interested in the elbows and knees in the starter kit, but I don't need the breastplate.

I'm interested in the bow, but I'm limited to Paypal right now. Unless you can hold it for a month or two until I go on mid-tour leave.

What variant is it? (Base, I, II?)

You may have, I have not found an armorer's mark on them. I bought them from an archiver. I have his real name, but do not want to post it on the internet without his ok. They are solid pieces and if the wolves weren't nearing the door I would not be parting with them.

I bought the bow several years ago, just before he started calling them Greyhounds (I belive he cahnged the name to that while it was shipping) I believe it was called a "Magyar sport" when I ordered it. I love this bow it is fun to shoot, but I haven't been able to draw it in almost 18 months because of the shoulder injury and subsequent surgery and rehab. I can almost draw it now, but not fully and not more than once right now.

****Rondel knees and elbows Sold pending payment******
The articulated knees are 6 1/2" across(point to point) and 5 1/2" deep (from line between points to apex of the arc)
the elbows are 4 1/4" across and 3" deep (measured using same method as knees).

I am not sure of a good way to measure the BP.
Laid out flat from edge to edge of the wrap plates it measures 36" but that does not include the arc of each plate. I know that I have approximately a 40" waist (real measurement not pants size) and it fits me with my gambeson on at the innermost holes on the strapping. There is about a foot of adjustment available on the strap. The price on the BP alone starts at $160.00 U.S.+ shipping which is of course negotiable.
I think that answers all of the questions for now, if there is something I have overlooked just ask. Thanks again.

Well as you are the only the one who has expressed an interest in them so far, so you may be safe

By the by, it would certainly appear that our house model would indeed go nicely with your current models, but then I am pretty sure you would be violating some sort of federal staute limiting the amount of cute in one household 8).
