MN armour-in?

Post by Wilhelm zu Eltz-Kempenich »

I hear Darivs was gonna' have one, but I'm wondering if anyone knows when. I wanna get down there and try and learn a thing or to, seeing as he's only a few miles from myself. But yeah, dates anyone?

Something to keep in mind from learnings at the last Darivs armour-in:

- Alchol can be consumed in large quantities.

- When Erik D. Schmid is present abolustely NO work gets done as everyone is busy drooling all over his obscenely accurate riveted mail.

- The aviation-themed resaurant has REALLY good burgers.

- Lots of stupid things are said and there should be a disclaimer posted when hanging around Sasuke.

A fun time was had by all and any future armour-in is sure to please.

hmm, to respond I'll say this:

-Alcohol in the form of beer makes me puke. Wiskey is something else entirely! I'm underage anwyays....

-I met that guy once, I think...

-Never did eat at Dolittles yet. And its been there for about 10 years!

-I look forward to stupid thnigs being said around Sasuke...

Looks like im in for a time if I show up. The question I've been pondering is what I could crank out in the few hours I might be there.

I recommend a set of his rivetted floating elbows. Quite nice, actually.

Hey!! Image

Definitely get to it if you can. I believe he was planning to have it sometime after Pennsic. Don't remember if the date was more specific than that.

I also recommend doing the elbows. The shaping is much easier to appreciate when seen in person.

I had nothing to do with that part of it...

Would be kind of cool to see it again... anyone still got the link?

Yeah, I've seen his full gothic suit on a couple of occasions, and those elbows are quite excellent. I think they'd be good for a beginner like myself too. Thanks for the idea.

MN armour-in? I am all for it! Last year I didn't get to get together even though it sounded like there were plans but this summer I am unemployed (been quite nice, actually Image) so needless to say I have plenty of time. Look at my profile to see how to contact me. I live in N. Minnesota during the summer but will be in Mankato for some of August and in St. Paul during the school year.

Oh yeah: BUMP!

Mankato is only about an hour from me. Let me know when you are down here and maybe we can get together for a chat or you could come out to my shop sometime.

Let me clarify a few things.

First the drinking that took place at the last one was not all that bad. Brian, if you and the others would have kept up to Kevin and myself, things would have went much smoother. However, that will not be the case this time as I do not drink much anymore due to my now giving plasma twice a week.

Secondly, nobody was drooling over my work. The redhead that was there yeah, but not the mail I brought.

The burgers were okay, but we should really have a cookout at Kurt's instead. It would make for a much more entertaining time.

I don't remember much of anything stupid being said... Come to think of it I really don't remember much of anything that day other than Kurt posting ridiculous things on the forum.

Anyway, we need to pick a date.

Cheers,
E
