The purse found in Helgeansholmen, Sweden, 14 c. Original is stored in Medeltidsmuseet in Stockholm. One of the best preserved medieval purses. Our purse has two sections - in the back part as well as in the flap. Two patchpockets. The original is quite big - 25 x 25 cm but our replica is a bit smaller - 22 x 23.cm. Made of suede. Linen thread hand-stitched. Fingerloop laces available with or witout beads on request.

REVIEW:
I purchased a pouch of Velund about a month ago. I had a little bit of trouble sorting out payment and eventually decided to go through western union as it was the easiest method I could find.
Velund communicated within a day but usually well before that. The pouch took about 2 weeks to arrive from the ukraine to Australia. It was exactly what was pictured and is very well made. These are made more like a period pouch though and are on the smaller side, I looked odd with my mobile (cell) phone in one of the pouchlets.
I found some of the leather to be a little dry, not badly, nothing that a quick wipe over with some oil couldn't fix up.
So for the Frieman scale

We have three same pouches (October, from Hourbook De Berry ) in stock now. Two brown ones and one black. This is the most wanted kind of pouches we have. They are of the same type and shape but some details may differ or be changed on request - leather laces changed for fingerloop ones and so on.

New product from ArmourandCastings Leatherworker!
Tarsoly worn by Norsemen!
This is a tasoly with a copy of the brass cast kit found in the trade town of Birka, which was located 30 kilometers West of Stockholm, Sweden, and was an important trade center in 9-10cc.
The back of the flap of this tarsoly is closed with a piece of linen textile.
Tarsoly (pronounced "tArshoy") is a type of belt pouch of hungarian origin with long tradition. It was a kind of fashion of the time throughout Hungary and the lands to the East and North. The richness of belt and tarsoly decoration demonstrated high rank and wealth of the owner.
