SOLD....Sir Brand Roman Gallic helm dipped in Tin.

Post by Scorpus »

Hi folks...I am gauging trade or purchase interest in a helm from Sir Brand that I bought last year and it has NEVER been used...not even padded up.

Here's your chance to own a brand new (no pun intended) helm from West Coast Armory, without having to go through Sir Brand.

I am moving away from fighting anymore...and I have been riding motorcycles a lot more. I need new gear and simply can't afford it.

If you have top quality motorcycle Helmet/s (Arai, Shoei etc) and they are my size we could talk trade possibly. I need good boots and leather riding gear also.

That being said the helmet is meant to fit someone with a 23-24 inch head the very best, doesn't mean it wouldn't work for others that are close to that size. It is a 13gauge dome. It has been dipped...completely....in Tin, therefore it will not rust.

I want $575 for the helmet not including shipping. Let me know, thanks.
Payment can be made via .... northwestgrizzly@yahoo.com ...at www.Paypal.com

I will also throw in 13 of "Clang's" Armor Rivet Boss Mk A-1/8
(For 1/8" shank rivets) which cost $1.45 Ea (18.85 value). Here's his picture from his web site and what they look like....

(The 1st two pictures are after the Tin dipping and the last one is a stock Brand photo)[/img]

Right now I am looking for something a little different (motorcycle equipment or money) but if nothing pans out I might be interested. Thank you!

I just recieved this helm yesterday and the pictures do not do it justice. I can't wait to make a nice linen liner for it and strap it up. I am also going to do some brass work to really bring the helm out. I will post some pics with my complete kit soon. Any suggestions in making the liner and chinstrap for this type of helm would be very appreciated.

Well whomever you have do it make sure they have the skill. The guy who did this helmet had 40+ years of experience and sold his business. That same business re-hired him for special jobs (like the helm) to do it. He was a cranky old bastage, but there simply is no denying his exceptional level of skill. The compnay that did this helmet is called "Oregon Re-tinners" out of Hubbard Oregon...heres the web site. You can send your items in to be done.

I had also planned to add some brasswork...just never got around to it. Cant wait to see it when you do! I may not be fighting any more but I can still apppreciate good armor when I see it. Take care!
