Bellows Sallet was Medievalware.com Sallet?

Post by Cellach_macChormach »

Has anyone done business with Medievalware.com?

One of our local guys is interested in this helm. Another view of the helm can be seen here

What do you guys think of the helm?

Thanks.

How much are you looking to spend?

There are a number of good armourers that can make a nice Sallet. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

I'm interested in a sallet too. Stainless, 12-14ga, solid visor, attached grilled bevor.

Hey, I just ordered one of those. It's supposed to arrive early next week. I ordered from http://www.by-the-sword.com/ in January. I've been sitting on pins and needles since.

Rec'd my Bellows face Sallet today. Boy am I dissapointed :(
I'ts made sturdy but way to small for my noggen and I ordered the large.
My chin hangs out about 1.5 inches from the bottom of the face plate, which does not close all the way but doesn't go up all the way either. After hammering on it with a mallet I was finally able to tie it closed with a piece of twine. I though it might be short so I ordered a leather bevor to wear with it just in case but it's ridiculously short.

I ordered from "By The Sword", helmet was listed "In Stock" $160 USD I ordered the first week of Jan. rec'd items second week of March. I will not do business with them again. I would not recommend anyone buy this cookie cutter helmet untill they are 100% sure it will fit them. It also appears the price has gone up to $200 since my purchase.
