Yeah pretty neat start.

If youre so inclined, one thing you might want to consider is taking an angle grinder to the flattened out rivets and sharpen/round them out a bit. Makes for a great period "rivet look"

Nothing takes away from the look of a good helm like a bar across the eye slots.
Good job though. :D
