The knee thing looked like your normal bridge scrum. Just bad luck. I am not upset at the tackle, just puzzled.

Clovenshield attrited one guy all day. My boy Yueng got tuckered, and missed the last two field battles but he has Hodgkins Lymphoma and skipped a chemo session to be there, so that is a passable excuse.

We missed you Vitus. It wasn't quite the same without the goat hunt.

Awesome event!

It was great meeting Archivers such as Nissan. Vermillion, I was on the other bridge when you got injuired but I witnessed what happened. I wish you a speedy recovery and you are in my prayers.

Yeah just typical bridge stuff, that caused the major hurts of the raid.

Seems to always happen on long res bridge battles. Beginning to think maybe 30 min res bridges might not be the best thing. :) Well unless you dont stop the time and let it continue. But we stopped time, so the 30 min res battle turned out to be about an hour and 15 min I think.

Yea, that was a brutal starting battle. I think most of us felt sick at one point or another Jess.

Didn't get any pics, but went in as a "sub" when one of the guys back started hurting. House Blackspear was amazing to fight against, and tons of fun.

Yeah, was talking to the head marshal afterwords, and someone was asking something about it. And I made the comment that yeah it was half an hour, but with the holds and stuff, we probably were out there for at least an hour and fifteen min. And he said yeah actually pretty much on the nose.

I think next time it would be nice to start with some field battles, then a shorter bridge battle (or no bridge.. heh).. and 2 of the domantion (or however you spell it battles).

Actually, with the field they have, I would love to see some different, quick and easy battles during the day friday.. with a pass type battle in the morning (10 am), then field battles.. then some easy, different battles around lunch time/ until 2ish.. I've seen some interesting, very different battles in my travels that were tons of fun and super easy to run/set up.. that I would love to see run more often.

Then a break.. maybe a water fight of some sort, during the hottest part of the day and time for food/drink.. then some pennsic battles.. and some flag type battles to end the day.. then time for pick ups.

But then again, maybe I'm crazy...

I only lasted the first hour then I had a catestrophic armor failure. I got hit in the side and it some how busted 4 rivits in my elbow and as i went over the side of the bridge some guy managed to rip the flange off my knees. It was BAD.
I nearly got smashed by Nissan's Demon Smashing club when my totally crazy commander told me during one of the holds to hit this guy standing next to Nissan and press his shield so that we could do a weird pulse charge... NO ONE BACKED ME UP!!!! I ran at an angle and pressed the guys shield and turned to see like 20 spears coming at my head...
Maybe if I feed them they wont hit so hard

Thanks for the well wishes guys, both the ones here, and the private ones.

I'll post some pics of my knee soon. A truely impressive battle wound :)

I do want to say that I am not blaming anyone for any wrong doing in my knee injury. Just bad luck. I was in the front of the shield wall, someone on my own side fell (I saw a blur of a body go past me in my peripheral vision) and crashed into the side of my knee. Dislocating it momentarily and most likely tearing my MCL. I could feel the thing pop all the way into my teeth.

Wrong place at the wrong time. I wish it wouldn't have happened, but shit happens. :(

Hopefully it won't require surgery.

I'm just embarassed that I screamed like the proverberial little girl for a few minutes.

As ever, thank you tremendously for the service of your Art.

For those who didn't take note of me or believe I was there (apparently most folks), I was Warlord of Ponte Alto, helping Sir Tascius command the Northern Army of Atlantia, fighting some W&S pickups after the battles (and as proof of my presence can be seen below in the center, thanks to Ursus):
