I'm making sneck hooks...

Post by CLANG »

I was making sneck hooks the other day, and thought that I might make some to sell to other armorers who don't have a forge, seeing as how they're kind of a pain to make cold...

I know sales posts belong on the sale board, but I thought I would post here, seeing as how these are really only of interest to armorers. If the editors wish, I'll be happy to move the post.

If you're interested, you can see them near the bottom of my In Stock page:

Let's see...

WMA, thanks for the comment.

'Maus, they're mild, not spring, though I can make them in 5160 or other tool steels. I can also make them in stainless, but the price would go up some for 5160 or stainless.

If I made them in 5160, I could either supply them normalized or heat-treated, but I suspect people would want them pre-punched if they came already hardened... Image Actually, I think normalized 5160 might be the way to go, as it's still quite tough.

Approximate diameter at the bend of the ? is 3/16 to 7/32". That's what I have right now, but I can make them any size you need.

Bascot, email me and we'll work out the details.
