I'm a little unfamiliar with the term copper

Which one is that? I'm guessing the larger pot
with the bail is the copper?

and the flat 'frying pan' is the pan.

Hey, you did awesome. If I had to ask for a frying pan in Russian, you would get nothing from it but a good laugh.

It is a nice cauldron, but I am used to seeing these hanging ones made in copper or bronze.

Did you base the frying pan on any existing historical ones? Wrought Iron ones existed, clay ones were probably more common. The example seen in the Wolfegg Haubuch has a pair of supports attatching to the pan, coming off either side of tyhe main handle in the form of a "U" when you look down at it from the top.

I suspect this is due to the wrought Iron handles having a tendancy to want to loosen at the join over time from the weight of the pan (the join probably being piened, rather than forge-welded), so the maker made 3 joins, but this is mere speculation
