Replica Chess Sets?

Post by Gregoire de Lyon »

Anyone know where to get a decent replica chess set for the 14th century?

The Isle of Lewis sets are acceptable, but was hoping for something more appropriate for my persona.

Supercast sells a mold set for resin casting that includes a 14th C. German chess set, if you want a period look but not period materials.

I guess you could make your own molds from theirs and cast them in pewter.

You could probably take that mold set and cast some wax pieces to re-cast lost wax in pewter or something.
