Auction on Flat Link Riveted Chainmail Hauberk- SOLD

Post by Tadeus »

I have in my possession some fine chainmail which I would like to auction off. It has never been used, except to try it on.
Specs:

Chest 50"
Sleeves 12"
Length 38" hanging from a rod, 33" from my shoulders
Cavalry Split (Front & Back) 11"
Weight 18lbs.

This is imported 16 ga. flat link, dome riveted, blackened mail with 10mm o.d. rings. It is slightly oily, but rust free. The craftsmanship is outstanding on this hauberk. It was small, so I ordered another one that fit, and fought all the battles at Blackstone Raid and 3 authorization bouts in it ( the replacement hauberk) and lost not a single link. The suit I am selling is identical quality wise, but has never been used.
I would like to start the auction price at $300.00(US) + shipping, the auction to continue until 6:00PM Eastern Standard time on Monday,May 11th, 2009. Highest bid that is in by that time and meets the minimum reserve price wins! Tadeus.

Damn, absolutely perfect size for me. If I wasn't 100% sure they would go for more, I'd grab em for $300.

Mondor,
I got it from a company called Raisons Overseas, an Indian company.

How big are you? 50" chest seems a bit too big for me (5'9" 200lbs)
otherwise it looks great.

Generichead,
I am 5'10, and have a 46" chest. It fit great through the chest, but only came to a bit below mid thigh on me. I was looking for knee length. I wear mine with a light gambeson- it has one thin layer of batting in it- and it is perfect. Tadeus

It just occured to me: If you want to save shipping costs and are going to Aethelmearc War Practice next week, I could deliver. Tadeus

Edited to add: The auction is still on- I just wanted potential bidders who were going to Aethelmearc War Practice to know I could deliver there! Tadeus
