I happen to agree with Uric.

Accept his apology for what it was and let it rest.

Sorry, Aaron, but that's like calling your opponent's blow.

I desired only to conclude the transaction in accord with the terms of the deal as soon as possible. If returning the offered gratuity would be perceived as a slight, then I will not do so. Brian, I have no desire to reject your apology or otherwise give any additional offense.

Enjoy your new bike.

The transaction is complete. Please keep the extra $5. And if fact, I did not sell my armor to make money. I sold it to be done with the SCA. I hope that everyone enjoys the armor.

So, Vitus. Could you please delete this thread.

Package Shipped and Arrived

Post by Laz »

I received both the arms and legs today that Brian promised to send me on Tuesday. It only took 3 days to get here in Las Vegas.

I am happy with the quickness of the shipping and consider this matter settled.

Brian, thank you for the communication and taking care of everything.

Does anyone have real life contact for him? I need to contact him asap about the gauntlets I purchased from him and have not yet received, and he doesn't have any details listed and doesn't seem to be checking his pm's.

I think a little more patience could be afforded someone before such threats of calling the DA and Law enforcement as well as wishes of decapitation and just the smearing of someone's name. I doubt Maccfaelain is trying to rip anyone off or I wouldn't have received my helm priced at $300. BTW, that was a really nice helm Maccfaelain. Thank you.

I understand the anxiousness to receive what's due to you. I felt that way while I was waiting. Not everyone checks their mail box or email every day.

I just wanted to throw this response in here to show that Maccfaelain is getting these items out even if they aren't arriving as fast as expected. The timing for my helm was very reasonable for a private party transaction.

How much patience is really required when someone has your money and will neither give you that, nor the goods you sent the money in good faith for?

Anywhere else it's called "theft".

here it's called "oh, you've only waited three years for something listed as "in stock", guess you are impatient.

SOrry.. that chaps my ass when people say "you aren't patient enough".

I'd like to reiterate the reason I bumped this thread so that hopefully it won't get lost behind talking about the relative merits or demerits of someone's personality or honesty:

Perhaps this (the address at least) should have been handled via PM, rather than posting someones info all over the intra-webs? Given the past history it smacks of vendetta not helpfulness. Just sayin.

Thanks, Jess, he's gotten back to me and seems to be correcting the problem. I've got the info if you want to take it down or make it a bit more private. Your call.

Still haven't gotten anything, despite multiple promises on his part to ship them.

Just sent this PM to him, here edited slightly:

"Dude, have you shipped my gauntlets yet?

You seem to have had no problem finding time to cash my check, from the datestamp probably the very single day you got it in the mail, now find some time to go to the post office. This Saturday will be two months since my bank says the check cleared. A shitty personal life is no excuse for dropping financial commitments--I'm really, really sorry about [a personal issue he's used as an excuse], but I'm not asking you for a favor or a huge chunk of your life, all I want is you to spend 15 or 20 minutes to pack a pair of metal gloves in a box and go to the UPS store.

If you haven't sent them yet, I'm heading back home Monday, mail them to:

(address)

Or, if you have any shred of self-respect, put them in the mail TOMORROW (Friday) for next day delivery to where I'm at now, which would be:

(address)

Next time I have to ask, I'm going to be through being nice. Taking my money and not giving me what you agreed to give me is theft. Having me mail payment to you and then stealing my money makes it mail fraud under Title 18, Chapter 63 of the United States Code, which is a federal felony and a really big deal that you can go to jail for a long time for.

So stop screwing around with me."

Yeah, about a week ago.

If he ever shows up here again, NOBODY buy from him.

Thanks for the help, Jess (and Blackstone!).

Anything more is not worth saying.
