Armor Mark - Smith mark

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows a company that produces custom metal punches for a smith mark?

I've heard from a couple of other guys (in addition to the guys who posted in that thread) that those stamps work well.

Etching is a second option... couple of good threads about that, too...

though not being an armourer I had thought about doing something myself either by asking someone I know who is a moneyer and has dies made or if that costs too much making a simple one from several letter stamps and grinding them to fit together how I want and then welding them into a block ( but not near the bottom due to the heat ).

I know spark errosion would do it with plenty of detail but I dont know the cost and it is a very low priority for me.

if it is $80 or similar ( 50 uk pounds ) I would get a proper one made.

I will report back if and when there is progress
