What's the story with the Ukrainian Grand Bascinets?
So recently the following three helmets have been listed for sale (note that I bought one and love it!):

http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/ ... p?t=113253
http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/ ... p?t=110932
These helmets are clearly all different helmets, but they are also strikingly similar, and all for sale in the Ukraine. Are these helmets all made by the same person? Did the three of you make them together at a grand bascinet making bee? What's the story?

Most likely all these helms origin from the same town in Ukraine where a very good workshop is located. The men working there leave as they decide they have learned some skills enough to work on their own. So they become working individually but use the same patterns they learned at the very first place of work.
P.S. They as well may make some stuff for themselves being yet in staff of the workshop when they have free time or smth. like that.
